Artist and architect Amy Forsyth designs award winning sculptural and functional furniture, builds and plays musical instruments, teaches design at Lehigh University, and crafts striking sketch books; Charles 法雷尔 parallels her endeavors as an architect, 作曲家, and painter of large-scale allegorical images, 和肖像. Both are alumni of Penn State University, main campus and have taught in the Arts and Architecture Program several years ago

Ms. Schlegel has received the distinction of 'Invitée d'Honneur' and 'Artiste d'Honneur' of 昂蒂布, 法国. She has been awarded 'Aritste en Residence' five times and has been given the opportunity to live in the beautiful Villa Fontaine situated in the bucolic section of Safranier, 昂蒂布, 法国 She is the recipient of the Arts Ovation Award for outstanding achievement in the visual arts with special recognition by the 宾西法尼亚 State Senate and the 宾西法尼亚 House of Representatives. Her poster created for Musikfest's 20th Anniversary received the Gold Addy Award.

这次展览, 搅火 is a global movement towards gender equality, a call to action and a celebration of the women and girls - mostly in developing countries - who have broken through barriers of tradition and oppression to become catalysts for change in their communities. Their stories shed light on specific gender issues worldwide while revealing practical pathways for women and girls to achieve gender equality. Throughout the exhibition will be accompanied by opportunities for involvement with CARE, an international humanitarian organization, discussion and video. When viewing the exhibition and multimedia documentaries you will learn about the issues facing woman and girls worldwide. The stories of remarkable women reveal the practical pathways that helped them achieve social and economic justice

Special Event - back by popular demand!
Dr. Cesar Martinez-Garza, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, native of Mexico City, will present a visual talk about Días de los Muertos及其文化 and spiritual significance. Event will be held beginning at 6 pm in the multi-purpose room in the Perkins Student Center. Mexican refreshments will be served.
